The NRCME Training Online Program

about-the-course picThe National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) training program offered by NRCME Training Online, LLC is designed to educate the medical provider on many aspects of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operator health and how to properly evaluate operator competency.  The training program prepares medical providers to make sound determination of the CMV driver's medical and physical qualifications for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle.

The NRCME training program is completed entirely online and takes the typical provider approximately 8 to 10 hours to complete.  Upon completion, the medical provider may print their certificate qualifying them to sit for the NRCME exam.  Our video lecture presentation format is easy to follow and guides the clinician through performing a thorough driver history, physical exam, and determining driver fitness to operate a commercial motor vehicle.

The program consists of 14 learning modules including vision, hearing, cardiovascular, hypertension, respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, diabetes, psychological, and substance abuse.  Following each module the medical provider will complete a short online quiz to test their knowledge of the information they have just reviewed.  At the completion of the program a 50 question online post-test is administered which will prepare the provider for the National Registry Exam.  Upon successful completion of the post-test the medical examiner can print a certificate of completion qualifying them to sit for the National Registry Exam. In addition, we are the only training provider to offer a full video demonstration of an actual DOT Medical Exam.

The NRCME Training Online program meets or exceeds core curriculum requirements as specified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
